 Hello there! We've made it through another week..

TIME TO BRING OUT THE ART.

Sorta stumbled through this one because I was kinda tired, but it came out pretty alright.

High-heels are something I never thought I'd enjoy drawing. Yet I do. *Shrugs* :)

The Vampire Witch, the Werewolf Knight, and their Kleptomaniac King

 Why HELLO THERE, good sir! Fancy meeting you in a place like this! Did you come for the tea and biscuits? Sorry to disappoint you old chap, but there doesn't seem to be any left.. Heard the goblins came by and scoffed the lot before any of us had a chance to get them.

But SAY, there's still this fancy looking picture untouched on the other side of the room! Might be worth a good look at, if your into that sort of thing... Mind the china bits all over the floor, though. Murder on the footwear, that stuff is...

Some familiar dorks with their weapons of choice... Ruby with her retractable metal rod, Reginald with his heavy battle sword, and Midnight with some cutlery he found on the way out of some fancy guy's kitchen.

Sittin' Around

 Hey, guys. It is now the month of May; almost half the year gone already.

Wish I could say I'm surprised, but considering how busy I've been (what with drawin' and school and stuff)  ... eh.

I need to do backgrounds more often. So long as I don't stress about making it perfectly geometrical or whatever, it can actually be kinda fun!

Not stairs, tho. They're still a bleedin' mystery. *annoyed huff of confusion*

Spiders a-plenty

Hi there! Literally spent most of the week drawing some custom Spider stickers for me and my siblings.. cuz, y'know. I like spiders.

Overall it was pretty fun, but I think that drained my creative juices a lot so I probably wont be doing anything like that again for a while... 

Literally don't have the mental energy right now, so I'll just leave them here and go.

A typical Saturday Post

Hello there, guys! You all had a good week? Mine was pretty good! I caught a bit of a vomit-bug on Monday, so I spent most of the week in bed reading and thinking and just generally relaxing... Was quite enjoyable despite the nausea and stomach pains and stuff, and I had no insomnia apart from the first [Monday] night, so... yeah! It was good.

Didn't even touch my laptop or a pencil until Friday evening (was almost avoiding it actually, I was enjoying my break from the internet so much...) But I'm here now, in pretty much good condition.

 (Bit tired, but my normal insomnia kicked back in last night, so I guess that mean's I'm good again)

Again. It's been a good week for me. I'd say it's almost a shame to have it end, but I'm looking forward to all the drawing opportunities I'll have next week! Also an appetite. I'm looking forward to eating normal meals without feeling sick. I didn't realize I took that for granted until now, so.. :)

WELL, I guess I'm gonna go get some dinner, catch up on anything that I've missed on the internet and then check out the new SpringFest currently going on in Splatoon2!

(Dang I'm going to be SO rusty, I haven't touched that game in almost a week!)

Hope you guys don't get sick or anything! I mean, as much as I like getting some random one-off flu, you guys probably aren't too enthused on the idea, so..

Aeron DeathDancer, your local confused dimensional-hopper

Another good week has come to an end, and with it I offer you the fruits of one of my labors - a picture of Aeron trying to figure out the secrets of his strange magical powers.

Just for the record, I have no idea how to draw portal-magic.. But I like how goopy it looks, while at the same time being floaty and misty. S'pretty cool!

The dripping background and the runes and stuff were quite fun to draw, too. And after shoving it through a filter or two, it didn't end up looking half bad! 

( But seriously tho Aeron never travel to the actual bottom of the ocean ever again, you stupid impulsive reckless power-hungry brave boy. <3 )

 Heyo! Been drawing lots this week... filled out 4 pages of my super big sketchbook, a few dozen miscellaneous things on the computer, including this pretty piece of work and an entire page filled with nothing but kiwi birds!

My hand hurts at the moment, but tis' a small price for productivity! >:)

I'm currently having one of those moments where I'm just like "Wow, did I draw that? I don't remember being able to do that.. Neat!"... because I honestly can't believe I managed to draw something like this and I'm really quite proud of it.. even it if it is pretty simple. <3

UV Comic sketches

HI! Oh boy. Remember a little while ago about me saying something about trying to make a comic and maybe even posting it on here? WELL! I've finally done it!

(Anyone who keeps a close eye on my Instagram would have already seen this stuff ages ago, but whatever.)

Basically the context for this little strip is that Midnight is in desperate need of money to pay the bills and to look after all the kids and animals under his care, and to maybe try and avoid starting a war with Reginald's brother.

Midnight is in his early 40's or something in this; he's been running the kingdom for a good while now [about 20 years], and he's established the 'accidentally adopting anything and everything that needs a home' routine... And other stuff I can't be bothered spelling out...

You may have noticed that there isn't much dialog, but considering I didn't have a script for this when I started, I think you'll agree it's not too badly off. (I had a lot more dialog sketched out but most of it didn't make it to the final cut, for better or worse) A few frames may be missing too, but not enough so that it needs explaining, so I'm just gonna leave it like it is.

I am... WAY to tired to be dealing with this any longer, so I'm just gonna go back to fun drawing things and finally post this. After 3 weeks of it just sitting there.

If you want any more detail on this just ask (obviously), and Happy April 1st! I didn't know it was that date until just a few hours ago. Hah. 

I can't tell if this is good timing or bad.

Fang the toy-maker

 Hello! Wow. Pretty good week for me. I dunno about you guys, but overall? Pretty good week.

Not too stressed, not too boring, got a bit of drawing done (even a bit on paper), and a fair bit of other stuff... It's been nice. :)

Also decided to outline a little sketch I did last week, which was pretty cool. Liked how it turned out, too!

Been thinking about Fang these past few days. Kinda tempted to talk about him for a bit too, because honestly I think I need to sort out some thoughts I've been having about him...

OKAY so for anyone who needs a bit of a recap, basically Fang used to be a Dragon who got kicked out of his family (might rethink that part now that I'm looking back) and eventually ended up running into an immortal kangaroo lady who HATES dragons... AKA, Grandma (Ruby's 'guardian/adoptive grandmother)

Fang, being kinda shocked at being treated like dirt (because HELLO?? He's a friggin' DRAGON HERE!! Show some respect), sticks around with her only because a) she intrigues him and b) she's the first non-dragon creature who hasn't fled in fear of him or tried to drain him of all his blood and steal his eyeballs or teeth or whatever...

(This is probably why Dragon's don't get out much)

Anyway. Grandma lets Fang stay with her (after trying to kill him a few times... NOT to get his blood, just kill him. Totally different) and after a while they learn more about each other. Why he's here, what happened to him, what happened to her, how did she become immortal - basic stuff.

And eventually Fang requested that, for his safety, he be transformed into a less suspicious creature (because he got BIG after a few dozen years... not what you want when you're trying to hide), and she agreed to try.

Long story short, Grandma transformed Fang into a little anthropomorphic spider, and he ends up becoming forever bound to her because "Aw DANGIT I'm a spider now! This isn't going to get people to stop trying to kill me! UGH I'm not even BIG anymore, THIS IS THE WORST THING THAT COULD'VE HAPPENED TO ME!". So she [reluctantly] looks after him.

Almost 80 years later Fang is still stuck with Grandma. He still complains bitterly about his current form, but has gained a sense of humor and has grown fond of domestic life (if only because of all the sandwiches he gets to eat.. don't get much of those in the wild).

Obviously I skimped out on a whole buncha details, but this is the main gist of Fang's history.

I'm going to sign off now before I start ranting about Grandma. So... yeah.

Well, it turned out pretty good so I guess that was time well-spent... Scout was fun to draw, if nothing else.

I appreciate any character that has bandages and a bag and a sweet looking hat! :)

When it rains...

Hi! I drew a rainy picture.

But not my usual dark gloomy kind... Just the typical bleak city sort. :)

I think I drew a very nice floor, there. Very wet, very shiny... just... Wow! What a NICE floor! <3

I should draw floors more often.

NEW TABLET

 HELLO, PEOPLE! Uh, so... I'm afraid there's no comic this week (yeah, I'm not surprised either), but when your tablet starts hissing and frothing at the mouth, there's not much you can do but shoot it and get yourself a new one, am I right?

That timing was spectacular, though. Just when I wanted it the most it goes and starts acting RABID on me. The nerve of the thing!

So yeah. New tablet for me!

But as a result of me getting this new tablet, my usual pen settings and stuff have gone all out of whack, meaning I can't really draw anything without it looking... slightly odd. (for lack of a better term) At least for the moment.

 It's gonna take a little bit to get comfortable with this again, but that shouldn't be a huge problem. :)

Not promising anything about comics this time either... If it gets done, it's done and I'll share it with you guys. And if it isn't? Well... *shrug* No pressure on me.

Old Art + Current project update

 Hey guys! Normally in circumstances like these I'd apologize and briefly spew out some excuse or other for my reasons for not drawing some high-quality art or whatever to show you guys tonight, but not only am I 100% okay with this, I think some of you will be very pleased to hear what I've been up to! :D

To put it simply, I've started trying to draw comics again! Something I haven't done since 2016.

But as a result of this new-found passion, I've literally done nothing else productive this week...

Like. At all.

It's a pretty fair trade though, all things considered, but I still wanted to share something you guys. (y'know, in case someone would've been disappointed) 

And, uh... this was a thing, so... Yeah. Why not?

Yeah. I made this weird 70's cyber mermaid monstrosity waaaaay back in May 2018, and uh... never really posted it.

It was totally intentional as well, which makes me kinda sad. Because looking back on this piece almost a year later, I actually kinda like it now? I mean, the hands definitely could use some work, and the clothing is kinda off... but the colours are still pretty pleasing to look at! Background isn't half-bad either, which is kinda shocking considering how little effort I put into it originally..

But anyway! So if everything goes well, by the time next week comes around I should have a very sketchy comic of UV to share with you guys!

 Hi! So...  um... 

Usually I try to avoid posting fanart on my blog, but after literally spending an entire week sketching pages upon pages of Mario fanart and finding myself at Friday night without anything original (so to speak), I realized I had forced my own hand and had no choice but to sit myself down and make one of 'em look post-worthy.

(To be fair, this week's probably been one of the most productive I've had in a long while, so I guess it's a good trade-off...)

So without any further ado, here's the twat of a bean-boy I ending up resorting to for this evening's post addition! :)

Fawful (From Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story) is honestly such a delight to draw. From his stupidly insane grin and swirly glasses, to his BIG colourful cloak- I just... He's really fun, okay?

And considering this came from one of my rougher sketches, I don't think it came out too badly either! :)

Aah, it's Saturday night again...And you know what that means, right?

It's time for a PICTURE POST!!!

I've been kinda busy these past few days, so I kinda half-panicked and got this done all in a rush... But it still looks pretty good, if I do say so myself!

It was super fun drawing the background, too; usually I'd struggle for about an hour or something before settling down or straight up giving up, but this was actually pretty fun throughout the whole ordeal! And surprisingly simple. :)

ALSO I might see if I can start setting up some of those extra pages I've been meaning to update sometime (like the Character Bios' or maybe the Information page)... it would mean more work, but on the plus side it means it gives me a good excuse to avoid literally everything else on my to-do list.

We'll see how lazy I feel. :)

Ruby & Aeron

Right. After almost 5 weeks of inactivity on this blog, I think It's about time I started posting again! Finally!

SO... Kickin' it off with a good Ruby pic I finished this afternoon!

As the groups' main source of common sense, Ruby tries to keep everyone out of unnecessary trouble while on their adventures... but that can get old real fast. Especially when your only running on a few hours sleep and dealing with a certain black money-grabbing cheetah.
