-and we're back to our unusually scheduled Rose Knights

 That didn't take long XD After obsessively drawing 9 fanart (and fancomics) for half a week, I instantly nosedived back into these Rose Knight nerds and I am still neck deep in it now!
So deep I might've drawn 16 panels of a rose knight comic in 2 days. And that's not counting all the other little sketches I made in between all that work.

It's a dramatic change, but one that tastes pretty good in my opinion.

 

I am also pretty happy that I'm figuring out what the rest of the cast looks like, and now I'm starting to push them together like "okay, what do you think of each other? Do you have anything in common?" and I wasn't expecting the himbo, the anxious wreck and the dragon gremlin to all be theatre nerds. Morgan definitely needed two extroverts to drag him out of his comfort zone, I'll say that much XD

If next week proves to be a productive one.... no doubt this blog will see more art than it has ever seen in months. But we'll see what happens next week.

Blue Girl (but not a rose)

 For the first time in a while, I haven't had the energy to draw Rose Knights, But that's okay, because this week has been one of those busy and mentally exhausting ones, so I'm surprised I drew anything at all pass Tuesday.

Still made this, though. Kinda like it.

I think i just wanted an excuse to draw something glowing in a dark setting. Pleases me on an aesthetic level, even if the sketch is messy.

We've still got Rose Knights (but we feature some stitchpunks for variety)

You would believe how much I've drawn this week. I almost forgot what it was like to draw madly without stopping for longer than a few hours. I'm not sure how else to describe my week, apart from "Art". But y'know what? I'll accept "Art" as a valid measurement of the last seven days.

Not even new glasses that make me feel like my eyes are filthy and dirty could stop me. Definitely a nice change of pace after all the burnout and artblock.

And these two sketches are probably my favorite things I have drawn in a while.

I am a simple person. I see a little guy trying to warn somebody to 'Not to do the Dang Silly Thing' but they don't have the vocabulary to express their concerns, and I love them and want to draw them being cryptic in the most unhelpful way possible while nobody understands them.

We'll see what next week is like! Maybe nothing like this week, but that's okay. I've already had this week and don't need it again after this. <3

Shockingly enough, we've still got rose knights

 To the surprise of nobody I drew more rose knights. And I'm really starting to get down some of the characters designs, so that has made drawing these guys even easier.

*small confetti pop* Welcome to the new year! Expect the same stuff as always because boy howdy we're not stopping for anybody now XD

So many rose knights this is starting to be ridiculous

Last week of 2023 and I spent almost all of it drawing rose knights. And when I wasn't drawing rose knights, I was talking about rose knights.

Grief, this story is becoming too big to contain and it's only been a month. What am I doing. How do I make it worse because I am having too much fun with these dorks? XD

Well, next year will certainly start on an interesting flavor if I keep this up. But we'll see what happens in the next day or two.

Even more Rose Knights

 All quiet on the Western front, except for these concept sketches for more rose kids that I believe are growing faster then I can control. Good thing I intend to let them go wild and see what happens tho

All the same, I wonder what they're gonna do the next time I turn my back. Eh, not my problem right now.

Oh yeah. It's also going to be Christmas in a few days.

.......... still not my problem either. XD

More Rose Knights

Still getting through my burnout, but it's getting better. Haven't been pushing myself tho- don't want to set myself on fire again after all that effort to put me out in the first place.

These sketches were fun, though. Did them a week or so ago, but they were fine.

Rose Knights

This time! I did not forget to post on Saturday. Which is good, because I am actually pretty proud of what I drew this week, so I have to show it off before I forget and move on with my night.

These two new kiddies are characters from a vague story I've had in my head for a few months. It's mostly vibes about roses and knights atm, but considering how fast it's developing I won't be surprised if it becomes it's own thing sooner or later.

Also I realize it's now December. Took me a week to finally figure that out, but.. y'know. It's not like I've had much of a head to keep track of time lately. But that's fine. Just a little disconcerting, is all.

Ru and Fang sketches

Out of all the things I did yesterday, I can't believe I forgot to post on my blog.
 But a day late is still better than a week late, so let me just do this before I forget again-

Kangaroo Cousins

 Whelp, it had to happen. As per my ADHD cycle, I had to overcommit and burn out after spending a liiiiittle too long writing and not enough time resting and pacing myself.

Aw well. Such it is. 

At least when I'm at my lowest and most "aagrhghg I don't have the energy to do anything", I can always rely on my hand to draw what comes naturally: my gals! <3

I know they've both grown into wonderful adults, but looking at them this small is also a treat I needed very much. I'll see if I'm gonna draw more of them later or not. But for now, I'm happy to see these two on my blog again.

Inky Rain

 Didn't write a lot. Didn't draw a lot. But I did still live knee-deep in all the 9 vibes so I think I can safely say I'm still stuck thinking about small ragdoll dudes in a dying world for a little longer.

Which is fine with me, because I quite like it here.

This was just something I made to keep my hands busy and to stop myself from going completely insane on Friday night, but I did like how it turned out and maybe a story idea can be inspired  by it. Who knows? Anything is possible when you've got stained glass windows and ink as inspiration!

But that's future problems I can enjoy later.

Lil' guys

 Good news! I didn't accidentally wrote 12 and half thousand words this week!

I did however still write all week, even if I'm not sure what my total word count was. But it wasn't 12 and a half thousand, so I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief as I figure out what to do with the rest of the words I've written about post-apocalyptic rag dolls.

They are adorable however, so I'll let them stay a little longer and see where any of the vibes in my head go.

9 movie doodles

 In a truly shocking twist of fate, I did not spend the entire week drawing. I spent it writing.

And the even more shocking thing is? I wrote roughly 12,500 words of fanfiction and I completed it before the week was over.

I just.

That has never happened to me before.

Finishing comic projects or drawing stuff really quickly, yes! but this was a new flavor of hyperfixation and I am deeply confused by it even if I enjoyed myself a lot

But I still drew something to throw at my self imposed "I show you something I drew every week" routine, so even if it was a weird writey week it doesn't disrupt my schedule

Seriously though. 12 and a half thousand words. In 6 days.

Definitely a week to remember fondly, even if I am still scratching my head wondering how I did that.

 Drew another drowned city sketch based on the idea I started coming up with last week

I've since become interested in other stories, but this is still cool enough to share and I know I'll be back to the vibes I collected last week so it's fine

 

if nothing else this has been great practice drawing cities from odd angles. Needed more practice with perspective anyway.

At least this story has immaculate vibes about cities drowned in the ocean. That's something I haven't done before, so that's been interesting to explore so far

Galactic Family, 7th year

 hilariously, after 3 years of pandemic shenanigans I think this is the first time I've caught covid personally

Not something I planned to put on my list, but it's something that ended up there anyway.

 but because I was sick for most of the week I haven't had the energy to draw much. except a 10-panel comic, but that was before I was sick so I'm not counting it.

... and these sketches too I guess, but I'm posting these on my blog so I guess I have to count them.

COLE on ICE

 Starting to get stamina to draw a lot again, and even thought it's still shaky I'm liking the progress I'm making so far.

At least no body (especially myself) can stop me from drawing 4 sparkly ice skating outfits now so that's at least something

Lookat this boy go! I love him no matter what he looks or acts like and if I draw him again it will be with great glee

almost late but technially still within the month so it's on time Vamparoo Anniversary (9th year addition!)

 I had the energy to draw my yearly anniversary picture for the blog (and story) that has been with me since I was a kid, but despite my best attempts to remember I forgot to post this one my blog on the correct date XD But Birthdays are a weekly event, and since I correctly did the math that Saturday still counted as 'September' I was like "Eh! Good enough. Not gonna be perfectionist about the timing. The intent still counts" so that's what I'm doing.

Even if I haven't been drawing much of my UV kiddies, they are still important to me and I hope I can write their stories or draw their shenanigans more one day. When the ADD fixation lets me go of Ninjago of course XD

Chain-Maker

 Hi! Brain full of fog. Eyes doing their best to focus. Not quite working. Memory doing it's best too.

Don't even remember when I made this, but it must've been this week because I don't remember drawing this last week (or else I would've shared it instead)

Comes from a new story idea I've had though. That I do remember!

Collecting sand for a new sandcastle is always fun. I'll see if this one goes anywhere in the future.
