Important Documenting

Feburary 29th, huh?
*...*
Nice.

Okay. So... Story time!

This is Aeron DeathDancer, the youngest son to Ruby and Harland DeathDancer. A kangaroo/penguin hybrid (and Vampire), he lives the intense life of a witch's son, and enjoys every second. As a kid he would help his mum out at the 'shop' (the tower Midnight said Ruby could use for her alchemy lab), and has a decent knowledge of all things magic. Especially blood.

At the ripe old age of 9, he decides it's about time he got some special magic powers and, with the opportunity to go to the ocean with Aunty Sapphire, plans a stupidly dangerous AWESOME FOOL-PROOF PLAN to find and fight a 'rare powerful sea monster, with immeasurable magic potential". Using the potion knowledge he learnt from Ruby, and with a small sword he earned on his 6th birthday (from Reginald), almost freezes and drowns himself in an attempt to sink to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

To make a long story short, he gets Time-Travel and Teleportation powers. And with a now 500 year stunted growth, he's pretty much immortal.

So. What does a young boy with such amazing, serious world-changing powers do?
Go on epic adventures without telling his mother, of course!

Well, once he figured out how to do it, anyway...
Took him a few years to realize he could do more than just create spooky space mist. :)

******

Okay. I'll leave it here for now, but this has been fun! I'll try to talk more about UV in the near future.
Til then, thanks for reading! And see you all again soon! <3

Army Angel

GREETINGS, WORLD!

Feeling much less exhausted than I think I was last week. Well, I can sound enthusiastic when I post now, so that must mean I'm doing fine.

RIGHT. The original reasoning behind this picture was quite a trip, but it boiled down to HALOS ARE COOL AND FUN TO DRAW and BARBED WIRE WOULD LOOK AWESOME IF IT GLOWED. I combined the two of them into a sketch of one of my sister's characters (again), and not too shabby if I do say so myself.

You might've noticed I'm trying out a new sketching style, too.
Instead of a rough crayon look I've been using for the past few months, I'm now making it much more cleaner and bolder.
Not as good as line art, but a decent second-best when I'm feeling lazy. Plus, it feels much nicer to draw with! :)

Not Afraid

Hi. I'm tired, but happy to be finishing the week in a good mood.
Wanna see the picture I did this afternoon?

I keep forgetting that it's good to draw something completely random sometimes. As nice as it is to be able to focus and enjoy a drawing mood, it's also nice to do something that... just exists. Y'know? Something that isn't supposed to be anything special. Something that you just come up with on the spot without any thought or purpose for it.
It's good. And being reminded about that feeling did me good, too. :)

Hope you guys have a lovely weekend. Stay safe. <3

The last Letter

Hello, there. I'm at my grandparents house at the moment (and then probably at my cousins house when I post this on Saturday). Sitting on the unstable top-bunk like I usually do. Listening to lots of 60's stuff. Not too hot, all things considering. It's been raining a lot.
:)

Another of my sister's mercenary ocs. He just received the last letter he'll ever get from his girlfriend.
She was tired of waiting for him.

He's been sitting like that almost all night.

First the only friend he ever had in this job, then his girlfriend.
What a week it must've been for him...

The Colour Inkstinct (Cover)

Ah, it's that time again! Time for some more Splatoon art! :D

I drew this last Saturday, since I was still in a major mood... Just some fun concept art for a story that I've had in my head on and off for the past year or so... Two boys from very different cultures, living as roommates and trying to find their place in life.

Storm comes from a very shallow society that focuses solely on pleasure, and he's trying to find the one thing that'll make him happy. He's chased down all sorts of interests, hobbies, and dreams, but to no avail... Hoping to finally get some inner peace, he moves out of his parents house and gives Turf War a shot. The most popular game in the whole world. He believes if he can do good in this, he'll finally be happy.

Ace, on the other hand, comes from a culture whose entire purpose is to work hard and serve others. From his family, to his school, to the military, and to his leader, he's been expected to do his very best. And he did. He was a good soldier, a good son, a good person, and was probably going to be a cog in the big machine that was the Octarian Race for life. No questions, no complaints.
Until something that happened a few years ago changed his perspective... Now he's decided that there has to be more to life than working. And he wants to find it.

....

So, yeah. That's what I've thinking about lately.
I really REALLY want to make a comic of this. Maybe I should. Would certainly give me some practice before I get serious doing UV comics...
Hm.
We'll see.
