As I express acknowledgement to any and all readers who may have decided to indulge themselves in glancing at the words scribed on this piece of brilliantly thought out electronic equipment, I would like to publicly announce that I have no idea what I'm saying!

Also that colour science is quite interesting! (Not interesting enough to change my career choice, but still)

Apologies if this looks a little off. I was playing 'round with the settings and for some reason I really liked it like this. 

Also, I put  W A Y  too much effort in the dress.

Charlene Casandra Snowrust

Good morning! Say, how would you guys like to meet another one of my stupidly adorable original characters?

This is Cas! Ollie's to-be-eventually-whenever-I-start-writing-this-down college girlfriend!

She's a cute, high-class Lolita bunny whose as sweet as can be until you call her Charlie.

Don't call her Charlie. She gets enough of that from her parents...

... Might've gone a little overboard on the pink factor here, now that I think about it...

 But then again, this is something that Cas would do, SO...

Also, learning the basics of Lolita fashion. Yay for skirts and vests and ribbons!

UV Sketch dump the 3rd

HI! Yes, I'm aware it's not Saturday, but I really wanted to post a whole buncha' this here real quick dontmindme~

I'm primarily doing this just in case there's a chance that one of my files will get corrupted again. Honestly, that kinda peeved me off for a bit, if only because of how much work I put into growing that sketch collection! 

But it gave me motivation to draw some pretty cool things in exchange, so I guess I'll let it slide. I have years to draw awesome UV stuff, both sketchy and otherwise!

* Some stuff about my characters *

Harland's aunt and uncle are police officers! They're letting him live with them until he finishes high-school, before he (supposedly) goes back to the circus with his family.

Hence the smug look on his face on the far right; he's defying them by wearing that [oddly] fashionable skirt! 

Reginald and Ruby (in much later years) like to dual with each other! Reginald uses a greatsword [that can control lightning], while Ruby uses her magic witchy powers!

... They actually almost managed to destroy the entire town they lived in because they got so good at it! (The Dragons are not quite sure how they managed to break a magical shield that was suppose to easily hold off two armies... Nor is Grandma, for that matter.)

(... They were banned from dueling each other, after that. Reginald's still salty after 20 years!)

Also, we've been developing the world a lot more, too! Now with werewolves, and UnMythics having magical souls (instead of bodies, like the rest of the major species), and a couple of other royal families, too!

Ah, fun times all year round~

Three holes in the ground

Hello, guys! Guess who was ridiculously productive this week? Yup! Drew a whole bunch of UV stuff (mostly Harland, looking back at it now), so might end up posting a sketch dump sometime in the near future if I can be bothered organizing it~

But enough about that... Here, something I'll probably cringe at in a few years, but for now is pretty much my favorite picture of the month! :)

*BTW the words on the shirt say "Shut up; I'm NOT 'almost there'". For those who were interested.*

Gotta say, really proud on how the pose came out in this one. Colours weren't too bad either, considering I changed the colour scheme right in the middle of making it.

Summer Sapphire

HI GUYS! It's been bit of a time for me this week, but It's all good because I DREW SAPPHIRE! FINALLY!

I was kinda depressed this week, because one of my big UV sketch dumps got corrupted, losing a good 60% of the sketches to oblivion.

But I guess that motivated me to draw a lot of UV stuff, in the vain attempts to gain back what I'd lost.

Motivation is a jerk sometimes, isn't it?

(Also, I'm trying to speed up the drawing process a bit; hence the eyes and the severe lack of texture.

... Backgrounds' pretty good, though! Also, her hair is finally out of that ponytail! :))

Hi, everyone. Manage to get through the week okay? Yeah? That's good. 

... I discovered I have a thing with anthro bunnies wearing double shirts, apparently...

... No comment. I'm just glad I finally finished this.

Reginald Steel, Scottish Prince, Dramatic Romantic

Hello! So, um... this is technically UV related, it's just... um... Okay. Just let me try to explain. 

(Bear with me, guys, I'm trying)

Reginald (wolf) is a character we accidentally came up about a week ago while we were discussing stuff about Midnight's royal life. (Cuz he's a prince, remember? Yeah. We're bringing that back.)

From what we've decided so far, he's basically the youngest son of a former Scottish king (his eldest brother now rules), hired babysitter to Midnight (to put it bluntly), writes awful poetry and songs about supposed 'romances' he's had  (and by romances, we mean passed on the street without evening having eye-contact. Literally, he doesn't even talk to them!) and dances with a giant sword.

... He's also the only one in his family (besides the grandparents) that wears a kilt. So, we've now got 2 guys that wear skirts in the story!

*AHEM* Anyway! Here's what he roughly looks like!

[Yeah, I know he looks like a schoolgirl. No, that was not intentional, but I'll take it. He looks hot.]

Kinda surprised it came out as well as it did, considering I'm sick at the moment. Might do more art of him if I have the inspiration, but don't hold your breath. Brain still doesn't like the idea of me trying to draw my characters again yet... *shrugs hopelessly* 

 

Banjo playin' Demon creature

Another week, another random picture. Another day, another dollar, not working my whole life away but probably should because I'm absolutely USELESS to society!

Just to clarify, I have like, no idea how to draw banjos... or any musical instrument, for that matter. I just made random stuff up as I went along.

... Not bad for not knowing what I was doing though, eh? :)

Heyo! Guess who drew another picture for you guys? Yup! It'sa me!

It's another kangaroo though, but I guess that's okay. Kangaroos are cool. Quirky, but cool.

I've been playing around with hairstyles this week. Mostly figuring out how to draw braids, but I've also been experimenting with kinda... I don't really know how to explain it, uh... well, basically what you see up there in the picture.

Brain still doesn't want to draw anything UV related.

This makes me sad, cuz' I love my stupid sassy children.

Shark Creature

Hello! Guess what my brain wanted me to draw again? Yup. Another ocean dweller.

But that's cool, because they are technically a part of the UV universe! Ah, the majestic Egyptian-esch race of the underwater world... Obsessed with all forms of music and art, protectors of kelp-forests, and lovers of destroying entire fleets of ships, causing hundreds of sailors to drown because of reasons.

... Mostly revenge, I think, because in the olden days, sailors thought it was bad luck to have women on their boats, so whenever they found a stowaway, they'd throw 'em overboard.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go off and enjoy my first Splatfest in Splatoon 2! Team Action, prepare to get absolutely owned!

Street Rodent

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! How was your first week of the new year? Decent? Good. Let's finish it with a nice picture post from yours truly, and ignore the fact that said yours truly just spent the majority of the week playing Splatoon 2 and didn't pick up a pencil until Friday afternoon...

I've always wanted to draw a beanie, but never actually bothered to try until now! Might consider doing it again when I next decide Midnight needs some more stealth-wear. Because as comfy as that green jacket of his looks, it's visible from friggin' SPACE.

Not exactly optimal when you're a thief. Although I guess Midnight wouldn't care; he'd probably take it as a challenge! Anyway, goodnight people! :)

Toothpaste Kangaroo

HELLO! Guess what I literally did for an entire week? Yup! Play Splatoon 2!

So far I've managed to complete story mode, level up to 14, and become a Professional in Salmon Run! Now I just have to level up 9 more times and then I can get my Mini Splatling back! Ah, the joys of grinding for weapons...

ANYWAY...  Managed to whip up a picture in time for the weekly post, so I guess I was a little productive. Not gonna do a New Year's post, though, cause I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to be a little too busy to think (or care) about that kinda stuff, so  have a toothpaste inspired kangaroo instead!

No, my braces aren't driving me insane, I just though it would be kinda cool to have a greenish-blue and red colour scheme.

... Oh shush. S'not the weirdest thing I've drawn. Besides, you have to admit that this look pretty good! Anyway, hope to see you guys again next year! :)

Dino Kid

HI! Christmas is almost here, and all I'm feeling in the air is the HEAVY ANNOYNACE THAT I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WHOLE DAY BEFORE I CAN PLAY SPLATOON 2!!!

After an entire week of arts' block, it feels great to finally ink and colour something properly, again.

 A Merry and happy day to you all, and may you always remember that anything you get for Christmas this year can be given back next year at the second-hand store! :)

 Hello! So, without really meaning to, I might've accidentally drawn our residential cross-dresser again. But that's fine, cuz' out of all the main characters I have, he's probably the most festive and good-willed of the bunch...

... He's also a penguin. That technically fits in with the theme of this month.

And it's moments like these that I realize how much I love my characters. Especially the boys; Midnight being delightfully impish, Ollie with his mad cooking skills and anger issues frustration with being mistaken for a girl 24/7, and Harland just... just being awesome.

 He's sweet, excitable, loves to socialize with everybody, has an INSANE passion for clothing (especially dresses and jewelry) and has this weird fascination for Ruby that for the life of him refuses to shake off.

Aah, he was never the one to take no for an answer. Or a brick in the face.

... Make that a bagful...

 Well, well, well... Wouldja' look at that, folks? Looks like Christmas has come EARLY this year! And no, it wasn't because Santa Clause got hit by some of his gravity-defying reindeer again, or because one of his elves had spiked the eggnog; NO!

It was because I threatened the government to move the holiday to the 9th so we could all unwrap our gifts early and NOT be tortured for weeks and weeks and forget all about the true meaning of the Christmas~ Wasn't that THOUGHTFUL of me?

Christmas Connie (Natural)

Hello! Tis' finally the season to be jolly, so let's kick this month off with something festive from the UV archives!

STARTING OFF with the return of one of the Nutthera girls in appropriate fashion~

I'm really proud on how the clothes came out in this. Especially the skirt. <3

Also, here's hoping I can come up with something Ru' and Harland related before December's over; that's my special goal for the next couple of weeks! 

[Those two should not be dating (and they aren't... WONT, for a good couple of years) but BOY are they so weirdly perfect for each other! Kinda freaky, actually.]

Blacker Midnight

Heyo! Been sick all week with an annoying cough, and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't draw anything new; had to go back and find an old sketch I could tidy up a bit before tonight.

Found this old Midnight doodle and I though it'd be fun if I made him a bit more Melanistic... So I did!

Dunno if I'll keep him this way (all depends on how hard it is to replicate) but he sure does look cool!

And in other news, I just got my braces! Hurts like the blazes right now (not to mention feels really weird), but I'm told it'll get better. After all, I'm gonna be wearin' em for a good year and a half or something; if that's not enough time to get used to them, I'm done for in the arts' department!

But in all seriousness, I should be good to get back to drawin' UV (or anything else I feel inspired to do at the time) pretty soon!

 ... Riiight as soon as I finish watching Gravity Falls again. Kehehehe~

Daddy's little Queen

 Hello! I made an attempt at drawing in pastel colours this week, as apposed to horrifically bright or dull ones.

... I think it turned out pretty good, too! Here, check it!

Suffice to say, I had a lot of fun with this! The legwarmers were a nice new challenge to try out, and a skill I'm (probably not) gonna need! Also the bow. That came out pretty good, too.

UV Sketches (2)

HI! Well, um... Didn't draw anything that much, but THAT'S OKAY cuz' I was at the dentist this week and felt weird for the past two days or so trying to figure out how to eat with FOUR LESS TEETH in my mouth. 

SO. Guess that means I have to show you some more of my secret doodles, instead of sending you all back in disappointment, huh? Okay. Here they are!

The R+H sketch is fairly old - a good month or two at this point - but I thought you guys might appreciate a quick moment from my favorite couple! Oh, and Harland is just being Harland up on the top right; reciting Shakespeare up to Ruby, who does not give two rolls of yarn, despite it being a weekday.

I drew the baseball Sapphire doodle this afternoon - so I was a little productive this week, but wasn't too fussed about outlining it or anythin'. Oh well. Gotta be lazy sometimes, right?

Sapphire Minarel (design update)

Hiya, kids! Decided it was about time I updated Sapphire's design a little... Nothing wrong with how she originally looked, but I think these little adjustments are needed. Both for my sanity, and her heritage.
