Happy Hallow post

Well, it's the 31st of October, and you know what that means?

... What? Halloween? Oh, no no no no. I'm talking about Martin Luther! Y'know? Famous guy? Nailed the list of all the things wrong with the catholic church? No...?

 .........

What do you mean we celebrate this day with monsters and ghosts and all things that give you nightmares?!

..........

... I don't get it, but it gave me an excuse to dress the main cast in costumes!

Bk2 Ch.7 Sapphire's plan -part2

Barak's vision was black. It felt like he was flying in emptiness, and heard faint blurred sounds. But he couldn't make sense of it.

???: WAKE UP!!!

Barak snapped out of his dreamless sleep. He saw Sapphire standing over him, a little frustrated.

Sapphire: About time, Barak. I know your brain cells are probably having a hard time trying to figure this out, but hurry up and blast a hole upwards.

Barak: W-... What? Sorry, I can't hear you...

Sapphire: Then read. My. Lips! Hyper shot, skyward. NOW.

Barak shook his head, trying to clear his hearing and vision. He noticed something in a far corner of the room they were in.

Barak: ... Who's the creature over there?

Sapphire: I'm sorry, but unlike you, I don't have night vision.

Barak blinked, and shot a light beam towards where he thought was up.

Sapphire: Watch where your shooting, Dragon boy!

Barak: I thought that was up...

Sapphire: Good grief, you only got a tiny knock on your head.

???: It was more then just a "Mere knock", Sapphire. Have some sympathy!

Sapphire sighed as the hidden Vampire in the cell came out of the shadows.

Sapphire: I should've known you would've gotten caught, Sunshine. How long have you been here, exactly?

Sunshine: A day.

Sapphire: Yeah, I guessed- Did you say A DAY?! But... you were with us this morning!

Sunshine: No I wasn't! ... Wait... that can only mean...

Barak: Give me a minute... the room is still swirling.

Sunshine: ... I've been copied.

DUN DUN DUUUUUUN...

... Ok, You probably saw that a mile away. But-

Get on with it, Narrator!

-... On with the story!

*****

Meanwhile, Ruby and Midnight trudged through the mountain, getting closer to their destination. Suddenly, Sunshine came racing up from behind them.

Sunshine: Guys! Wait up!

Ruby: Sunshine! Where were you? You weren't in the cave when I came back with Midnight!

Sunshine: Uh... Some guards were coming, so I ran as fast as I could to somewhere safer. I managed to catch up to you, though.

Ruby: Well, I guess it's good you didn't get captured. I'm not sure about Sapphire and Barak though, but we'll just hope we'll meet up soon.

Sunshine: Where are... Sapphire and Barak?

Ruby: Barak said Sapphire - who was causing a distraction for us to escape - was in trouble and flew to rescue her.

Sunshine: Oh no... If they get caught, that's...

Midnight: Yeah, well Barak can get her out. But they'd better come back alive.

Sunshine drifted from them and slid down the mountain and out of sight.

Midnight: ... Suspicious.

Ruby: No, she's been doing that a lot. For whatever reason I don't know, but we need her.

Midnight grumbled but continued walking. Explosions sounded far off in the distance as they kept moving forward.

Midnight: ... I'm hungry.

Ruby: Well too bad. We're not stopping for a lunch break, even if you are injured.

Midnight: War is stupid... Because of it, I can't even eat a sandwich.

Fang: DID SOMEONE SAY SANDWICH?!

Midnight: You can't have one!

Fang: ...

Fang was about to jump into Ruby's bag, when a burst of bright lights started flashing behind them.

Ruby: ... That looks like Barak's fire!

Midnight: Great, that means they probably both got caught and are now making an attempt to escape by making a lot of noise. Ha, amateurs!

Ruby: I bet they'll do a better job at escaping than you.

Midnight: I bet they don't get out at all!

Ruby: Let's wait and see, Mr. Negative.

They looked at the smoke starting to rise above the rain, hoping they would get reunited with their friends.

Bk2 Ch.7 Sapphire's plan -part1

Sapphire skidded to a halt, and strained to hear if the UnMythics were still chasing them.

Sapphire: ... They appeared to have managed to get past the distraction we set up for them. Curses! I so hoped they would work...

Sapphire suddenly had an idea. Whether it is good or not, will remain to be seen.

*****

Barak was jumping from rock to rock as Ruby and Midnight followed him.

Midnight: I bet Barak has no idea where he's taking us...

Ruby: Don't make fun of Barak's intelligence. He's smart for a guy that's only just hatched!

Barak suddenly halted, and his eyes started to glow.

Midnight: Oh, he's just doing his thing.

Ruby: He can do many things. Define, "Thing".

Midnight: Looking into whoever eyes he's seeing through now.

Ruby: ... Ok, then...

Barak suddenly snapped back into reality, and leaped into the air.

Fang: Where are you going, kid?

Barak: Sapphire's in trouble! I'm going to save her! If you keep to the right, you'll eventually come across the next mountain!

Ruby: Don't get caught! That would be very bad for both of us. Losing you, and our greatest defense.

Barak: I wont!

Midnight: That won't stop the UnMythics from trying...

Barak zoomed off into the clouds. As he flew, he saw only the rocky landscape of paths, leading to nowhere. He noticed Sapphire fighting off UnMythics. He swooped down and knocked out a couple coming behind her.

Sapphire: Dragon boy, what on earth are you doing here?!

Barak: To my eyes, you needed saving!

Sapphire: Oh, what gave you that idea, champion of Dragons?

Barak: You are being attacked by a lot of UnMythics, the enemy, and seem to be losing quite badly.

Sapphire: I was being sarcastic... I don't need help!

Something hit Barak from behind. He crashed to the ground, and blacked out.

****

Sapphire kicked the soldier who knocked Barak out.

Sapphire: Ok, WHAT WAS THAT FOR?! He's just-

???: He's just the most dangerous thing next to the Vampires!

Sapphire spun around to see a very familiar face.

Sapphire: ... Do I know you?

Mr. Stonecloud (grey monkey): Don't you recognize me? Your old history teacher?

Sapphire stepped back, a little shocked.

Sapphire: I knew you hated Vampires, but... a commander?

Mr. Stonecloud: You should've been able to put the pieces together, but now you know. But what surprises me the most is...

The monkey pulled out a weapon, and shoved it near Sapphire's throat.

Mr. Stonecloud: ... I never knew you were working for the enemy. I'm a little disappointed in you, Sapphire DiamondEye.

Sapphire: I'm not. Their Vampire Lord probably doesn't know I even help m- them.

Mr. Stonecloud: Don't play with us, child. You can still come back to the good side - the right side!

Sapphire: Sorry, but I'm too far gone.

Just to prove her point, She kicked Stonecloud's legs, knocking him to the ground. She kick him again, before trying to drag Barak to somewhere else.

Mr. Stonecloud: Lock her up with the other. And send a message to Mrs. DiamondEye... We've found her lost daughter, and she'll be sent home as soon as possible.

Sapphire sighed and submitted. Soldiers led her downhill, with Barak being dragged behind. Apparently, her plan was working.

Bk2 Ch.6 Separated -part4

Ruby dashed out into the rain, and easily caught up with Midnight. Barak swiftly flew out of the cave, and down the mountain towards the UnMythics. Sapphire ran up to Ruby, and shoved her forwards.

Sapphire: Go! Barak's creating a distraction, so I'll ensure your getaway! Now don't argue, and hurry up!

Ruby nodded and started dragging Midnight up the hill. Sapphire quickly pulled out a cinnamon bomb, and headed down the hill after Barak.

Sapphire: BARAK! Uh... HIT THE SKY!

Barak flew up to the clouds, as Sapphire through the bomb at the UnMythics coming up the hill. She started to run back up,when the grenade went off. A thick orange cloud covered the area around the mountain path, as the UnMythics tried to navigate their way through it.

Sapphire: Barak, please go make yourself useful and guide Ruby and Midnight off the main path.

Barak: Ok!

Barak zoomed off, while Sapphire sprinted off after him.

Sapphire: Hopefully this plan will work...

Sapphire turned a corner, almost fell down, and continued running.

*****

(Please note that when "Echo" Is speaking, only Fang, Barak, and Mora can understand)

Meanwhile, Fang was being jostled around in Ruby's bag as she continued to hurry Midnight up.

Fang: That's it! I'm walking.

Fang sneakily jumped out of Ruby's bag, and landed on the strange messenger bat.

Fang: Uh... hello, Mr. Bat.

Echo (bat): You're with the red and the black, correct?

Fang: Ruby and Midnight? Yeah. I'm the most important member of their team!

Echo: Cool! I'd really appreciate it if you'd get them to come with me!

Fang jumped down from the bat and started walking alongside it.

Fang: Why?

Echo: My master needs help, before them nasty creatures called "UnMythics" do something bad!

Fang: Who is your "master"?

Echo: ... What?

Fang: Who is your master? Why is he-... she... important?

Echo: ... I don't get it.

Fang: What's wrong with you?

Echo: I need to feed of off your confusion!

Fang: Uh...

Echo: Just kidding! Or am I?

Fang: ... RUBY! The bat's confusing my brain!

Ruby: That's nice. I didn't know you had one!

Fang: You're not listening to me!

Ruby: How are you holding up, Midnight?

Midnight: I'm still walking.

Barak suddenly zoomed in front of Ruby and Midnight, and roughly landed.

Barak: Hello! The distraction's working, and Sapphire ordered me to lead you off the main path. So... what are we waiting?

Ruby: Uh-

Barak: Follow me!

Barak started leaping off the path before Ruby could do anything.

Midnight: Come on, couldn't hurt to detour!

Ruby sighed and started to follow the green Dragon.

Werewolf kid

Yup, I'm back with another picture from one of my many untold tales and stuff. You should (hopefully) know I write about Vampires, right? Meet their arch nemesis - THE WEREWOLVES!!!

... Ok, Adolphe isn't actually that threatening. He's just an big timid puppy dog, with a cat companion helping him through the streets of Scotland and such.

Still, hope you guys like it!

One the other side of the island...

Kindly keep in mind this has NOTHING to do with the main story. I just haven't been getting a lot of inspiration lately, but I don't want you guys to remain bored for long. Thank you for taking notice!

****

Far away, on another part of the island, five UnMythic kids were hanging around Golden Forests school, talking about recent events.

Buttercup (orange koala): Hard to believe that Vampires do exist, after everything any of us have been taught.

Rocky (black arctic wolf): Yeah, I've just treated it like some kind of far off fantasy. Just to scare kids on a camping trip!

Mandy (white fox): Well, I may have kinda believe they existed... just a bit...

Lily (purple tiger): Although its no surprise if you think about it. They had to hide to survive - just ordinary life for them.

Rocky: I guess, but even if the Seven thirty News said so, I still find it hard to digest.

Manic (black wolf): Why? That means all those history books we were forced to look up on were right! It wasn't a waste of time!

Lily: We could've been doing something useful, but I agree. If any try to attack us, we can at least be prepared.

Mandy: Why would they? I think they can be friendly...

Rocky: They have weapons in their mouth - who wouldn't use them if they had some?

Mandy: I bet Sapphire would...

Buttercup: Speaking of Sapphire, has anyone seen her for the past few weeks?

Manic: Nope. Don't think I've seen Miss Attitude for a while.

Lily: Neither have I. She hasn't appeared in classes for some time... Not that I mind, of course.

Mandy: Aw, come on! She wasn't that bad...

Buttercup: To you. You were the closest to her!

Mandy: Yes, but when that new kid... Uh...

Buttercup: Ruby, I think her name was. A gem, anyway.

Mandy: -When Ruby arrived, Sapphire first ignored her. Then after a week, they were like the best of friends, along with that cheetah...

Lily: I never paid much attention to that. Although I will never forgive that blasted black cat for stealing my valuable silver ring...

Manic: What do you think could've happened to those guys, anyway?

Lily: I honestly can't think of a logical answer. But Mrs. Diamondeye hasn't had much of a rest since her daughter disappeared.

Manic: I think that would've done her a favor - not having to look after that bratty bluebell anymore.

Mandy: She just wanted to be noticed, is all...

Just then, a teacher appeared in the doorway, looking very stern.

Mrs. Redleaf (red panda): We do not talk about lost students like that, Mister Lightningclaw. Losing someone you love can be very hard! And what are you kids doing out here? Get back inside where it's safe!

Everyone: Yes, Mrs. Redleaf.

They marched back inside, and out of the warm bight sunshine.

Bk2 Ch.6 Separated -part3

Meanwhile, Sapphire trudged down the mountain back to the cave. She noticed the rain starting to fall, and picked up the pace.

Sapphire: I wish Barak would stop running off just as I find him. It's getting frustrating...

As she got nearer to the cave, she heard yells of pain. She quickly dashed inside, only to see Ruby bandaging Midnight, with a few bullets on the floor.

Sapphire: ... Ok, what did I miss?

Midnight: Me almost dying.

Ruby: No bullets got into your internal organs, brain, or bones. You're fine!

Midnight: You call this fine?

Ruby: No, but it could be worst.

Sapphire: Ah.Well... I'm sure it was fun.

Barak: It wasn't!

Sapphire: ... Anyway. Where's Sunshine?

Ruby: We don't know. She wasn't here when we got here!

Midnight: Maybe she got lost and can't find her way back?

Ruby: Don't be ridiculous.

Midnight: It could happen...

All of a sudden, something zoomed into the cave, and spun around Midnight's head. Mora barked and yapped her head off as Ruby caught it. It turned out to be a bat!

Sapphire: What's a bat doing here?

Barak: Aren't bats common on this island?

Sapphire: I mean what's a bat doing up here, and not in the forest like it should be.

Ruby: I don't know, but it seems to have a message for us.

There was a letter in the bat's mouth. Ruby took the piece of note and started to read it.

Ruby: "Please help me."... Strange.

Midnight: Not sure why we should help. This anonymous person, whoever it is, could be anyone! Even the enemy trying to throw us off our main path!

Ruby: While I agree with you, it could be a friend. If the UnMythics use Bat mail now, I'd be worried.

The messenger bat started flying round in excitement, as if agreeing with Ruby. Barak started to communicate with it, while Ruby finished bandaging Midnight.

Sapphire: If only mother could see me now - helping the enemy win the war against my kind.

Ruby: In that case, it's probably a good thing she isn't seeing you now.

Sapphire: Yeah, your right. She'd probably disown me if she knew what I was doing...

Barak looked up, curios.

Barak: Why?

Sapphire: Complicated family matters. Hard to explain. Not like I want too...

Ruby: And~... Done. Don't do anything rash for a while - your badly hurt and need to take it easy.

Midnight: Yeah, thanks doctor DeathDancer.

Midnight sat up quickly, but almost fell down.

Ruby: What did I just say?

Midnight: Something about relaxing... Haha, have you even met me? I'll rest when we've won the war.

And so saying so, Midnight made an attempt to walk out the door. Barak approached Ruby and was about to say something, but an explosion sounded nearby.

Ruby: Jupalo! They're back with more friends... Ok, we're moving again!

Ruby snatched her bag and Fang, and dashed out the door to Midnight. Sapphire and Barak were close behind, while the bat was deciding whether to follow or not.

Fang wants a hug

Good day, folks. So... I recently got a drawing pad for my laptop, and with it a new art program besides my "Pokemon Art Academy" game. I'm still trying to tame it, but I drew this because... well, because I could and would.

FUN FACT

-----

Did you know Fang is based off of a Ceratinopsidis formosa? (say that five times in a row) And if you look at his back and head, he'll have a similar (but not quite) pattern to a Red back Spider.

... Ok, I'm guessing not many of you actually wanted to know that... but it's me were talking about. I like spiders! (It's the only reason why Fang is in Undercover Vamparoo at all! Or is he?!)

Bk2 Ch.6 Separated -part2

A loud growl sounded above Midnight and the UnMythics. They looked up, and saw a huge light beam shoot down towards them. Midnight shielded his face and waited for the blast, but he felt nothing.

Barak: It's ok! You're safe now.

Midnight looked up, surprised. He saw soldiers scattered around as he got up.

Midnight: Ok, that's nice and all, but how did you know I was in danger?

Barak: Uh... well... looked into the future?

Midnight: Aren't you a little young to be able to do that?

Barak: ... Maybe?

Midnight: Well, never mind. Let's get out of here before they start shooting at me again!

Barak grabbed hold of Midnight and started to hover above the ground. They started a slow trip up the mountain.

Midnight: ... Can't you go any faster, oh dragon champion?

Barak: Sorry! Wings are still recovering...

Midnight: I'll just have to walk then - it'll be quicker.

Midnight twisted his way out of Barak's grasp, and landed with a thud on the ground. He winced in pain and tried to walk.

Barak: ... Are you sure this is better?

Midnight: Yes. Shut up.

Barak sighed and raced on ahead, leaving Midnight to himself.

Midnight: Great... our hero left a poor hurt cheetah to himself, alone with UnMythics with weapons close by.

Like lightning, Barak came back with Ruby.

Ruby: What on earth happened to you?

Midnight: Oh, nothing much. Few guns got shot at me, maybe a sprained leg... just a normal day at war.

Ruby: Barak, help me drag him up the hill! He needs first aid fast!

Barak: Ok!

Barak got hold of Midnight's shoulders and started pulling him up the hill.

UnMythic Commander: DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE!!!

Guns started firing again, and Ruby ducked behind some rocks with Midnight. Barak fired off another light beam, aimed right at what appeared to be their leader.

Ruby: Stay here, and don't even think about moving!

Midnight: It's not like I can.

Ruby made a dash up the hill while Barak distracted the UnMythics. When she got back to the cave, she made a dive for her bag. She pulled out a bright fire red potion, and dashed back down.

Ruby:  Let's hope this works!

She took a drink, and within seconds she started breathing fire. She dashed towards the UnMythics, who quickly backed into the forest.

UnMythic Commander: RETREAT! A petty Vampire we can handle, but Dragons and FIRE BREATHING Vampires we can't!

The soldiers vanished into the undergrowth, making their escape.

Ruby: (through fire) GOOD! Now pour some water into my mouth!

Barak thought for a moment before flying up into the clouds. Like a bucket of water, the rain streamed down into Ruby's mouth and put out the fire. Ruby choked and spluttered as Barak came back down.

Ruby: (coughing) I didn't say a lake!

Barak: Sorry!

Ruby: It's ok... At least I didn't drown.

Midnight: Yeah, it would've been an awful shame if the Dragon Champion's master died!

Ruby: Be quiet, Midnight. Let's get out of here before they get backup!

Barak started to help push Midnight up the hill with Ruby. Thunder started to sound in the distance, and the rain began to get heavier.

Bk2 Ch.6 Separated -part1

Ruby and Co. started travelling up the mountain. Fang caught up with the team as they stopped to look at the view.

Ruby: You can tell how serious it is when you see the Ultimate Weapon just over the yonder.

Sapphire: Yeah, and it looks like it's slowly making it's way over to us...

Suddenly, clouds started drifting in from the yonder.

Midnight: If I didn't know better, I'd say it'll rain pretty soon.

Sunshine: Then lets find some shelter, and fast!

Ruby: I guess we should stop and have something to eat.

Barak (who had just shakily flown ahead) came pounding down the path towards them.

Barak: There's a cave up ahead!

Ruby: Ok, then let's go.

Sunshine: Yes, please...

They scrambled up the path, and into the cave. Barak stayed outside, waiting for the rain to come. Sunshine gave a sigh of relief and sat down.

Sapphire: Something wrong with crazy weather?

Sunshine: No, it's just that I don't like water all that much.

Sapphire: Honestly... you cats.

Midnight: Hey, I happen to like sky water!

Barak: It's called rain.

Midnight: ... I think it's only because I had to swim in murky sewers as a kit.

Sapphire: Fascinating. So we learn the amazing Midnight actually learned a useful skill in life!

Midnight: Is that suppose to mean my talent as a thief doesn't count?

Sapphire: Don't make me laugh! I bet you can't even take candy from a baby!

Barak quickly zoomed off to somewhere more peaceful, while Mora covered her ears.

Midnight: I did that all the time when I was barely a novice!

Sapphire: Sure you did, and I bet you visited the fang fairy while you were at it!

Ruby: STOP IT - you two are bickering like little kids! What am I, the adult here?

Midnight: Oh, very mature! Mother Ruby will make everything all bet-

Ruby: I've had enough! Midnight, do something useful and go off to find something edible! Sapphire, go find Barak. Your fighting scared him off.

Sapphire and Midnight tried to hide their laughter and hatred for each other as they left the cave and into the rain.

Sapphire: (chuckling) Mother Ruby... nice one, Lucky. Totally describes her.

Ruby: I HEARD THAT!!!

Sapphire headed uphill, while Midnight went further down. Mora sighed, circled around three times, and lay down to take a nap.

Sunshine: ... What was all that about?

Ruby: I honestly have no idea. They seem to have heated arguments every now and then. I don't know whether that strengthens or weakens their bond with each other...

Fang: They get back to normal after an hour or so - no one can stay angry at someone they're close to for long.

Ruby dug into her bag, pulled out the map Grandma packed, and started planning their route across the mountains.

*****

Midnight was searching through the bushes, trying to find anything to eat.

Midnight: Ruby can't take a joke... we were just teasing each other - nothing serious.

A bang sounded, and something hit him in the tail. He yelled, jumped back and dropped what he was doing.

???: Your under arrest for being a Vampire!

Midnight: That's a bit racist, don't you think?

???: DON'T PLAY SMART GUY AT ME!!! Now hold still, and everything will be easier for the rest of us!

Midnight: Of course... You'll have to unalive me first!

???: Unalive him... what does that-

???: It means kill him, knucklehead. Very well, so be it!

Guns started firing at Midnight, and he shielded his face with his arm. A few bullets hit him as he started to dash backwards up the mountain.

???: AFTER HIM!!!

UnMythic soldiers started coming out of the bush by the dozen. Midnight continued to scurry up the hill. More gunfire, this time one of them hit his foot, which made him trip.

UnMythic Commander: We got him now, boys!

???: And girls!

UnMythic Commander: QUIET IN THE RANKS!!!

The UnMythics surrounded Midnight, and pointed their guns at him.

Hiding from the UnMythics

Hello people! Remember a time when Sapphire, Midnight, Barak and your favorite mutt were hiding in the tree tops? Yes? No? Maybe...? Anyway. Here's the picture!

I've had this for quite a while, but only now do I decide to share this with you.

... I hate drawing trees. But, at least it wasn't water!

Bk2 Ch.5 Dungeons and creatures - part4

Midnight and Mora darted behind a bunch of boxes, and waited. The growling got fainter, and then some UnMythics on patrol came around where Midnight had came from.

UnMythic 1 (purple tiger): I wish the others would hurry up and finish their patrol around the place. We haven't seen this "black cheetah", and I think he left ages ago.

UnMythic 2 (pink leopard): Funny, I don't seem to hear you complain in front of the commanders...

UnMythic 1: That's because I'll be stuck guarding that angry Vampire prisoner until the end of the war if I so much as argue while we're at war with them.

UnMythic 2: You know what's at stake. Either we go back to our destroyed home, or fight for the one we currently have.

UnMythic 1: Yes, I do know. But why have we waited for a thousand years for this? Why didn't we do it back then, when they were weaker?

UnMythic 2: We were expecting reinforcements, but they never came. It would've been a lost cause otherwise, neither side winning until one of us died out - which would've been us.

Midnight listened, confused. He strained his ears, trying to pick up what they were saying.

UnMythic 2: ... Ok, enough with the chatter. Let's continue going.

UnMythic 1: I thought girls were good at that...

UnMythic 2: If you don't wish to be reported, zip your mouth.

Midnight, while trying to lean in closer, he accidentally kicked a rock aside. The UnMythics looked behind them, and seeing Midnight and Mora, charged right at them.

Midnight: Ok... sneaking time is over.

Midnight dashed into one of the UnMythics, and bit his shoulder. He scream in fright more then pain, but kicked Midnight in the stomach. Midnight fell sideways before side kicking the second UnMyhtic.

Midnight: Ow... I've already been hurt in that spot, Krilidin. You dare give me more pain than needed?!

UnMythic 2: Wait... that-

Midnight: Yeah yeah, I know I didn't pronounce it properly. I only did it to annoy you!

UnMythic 1: How do you know what we are?!

Midnight: Your guard dog barks too much. Not enough bite, either. Oh, and speaking of bites... you might want to run from the army.

UnMythic 2: W-why?

Midnight: If I'm right, a monster is roaming around here. Monsters produce fair bit of magic from anger, and since I need strong magic in order for my bite to actually work... yeah, I think you know what's coming.

UnMythic 2: Monster? What monster?

Midnight: Uh... y'know what? Just ignore me. There is no monster that would possibly eat you down here... None whatsoever. You're probably not gonna die, or turn into a Vampire thanks to me.

UnMythic 1: You dare mock us?

Midnight: Yes. Yes I do!

The UnMythic kicked Midnight again, but Mora leaped into action, and started attacking him.

UnMythic 2: Why'd you bit me? I don't want to be a Vampire... everything my father has taught me will go against my whole life now!

Midnight: It was only in self defense! You attack, I fight back. It's how the war works!

UnMythic 2: I curse your family! Your entire race for this!

Midnight: You curse the cursed, but you can't curse a family that doesn't exist. Come on, Mora... the others are probably waiting for us.

Mora snarled at the UnMythic she was attacking, and followed Midnight down the tunnel, and into the sunlight. He spotted a blue animal down below in the valley, and raced down to see what it was.

Sapphire: You're back!

Sapphire raced to meet Midnight, but only to speed past him and hug Mora.

Sapphire: That is the last time I send you out to rescue a worthless thief, right Mora?

Midnight: Yeah, well... she didn't help me at all battling all the UnMythics up there.

Sapphire: Haha, I bet she did more then you. Now come on, the rest are waiting for us!

Midnight sighed and followed Sapphire and Mora.

*****

Ruby, Sunshine and Barak were starting to travel uphill. Ruby signaled to stop for a moment, and Barak flopped down into the ground.

Ruby: We're only stopping for a minute or two, ok?

Sunshine: Fine by me.

Fang crawled out of Ruby's backpack and scurried over to Barak.

Fang: Uh... Barak? May I talk to you privately?

Barak: Sure, little spider!

Fang quietly dashed into some trees, with Barak close behind. Just then, Sapphire and Midnight caught up with them.

Ruby: Glad to see you both safe! What happened to you, Midnight?

Midnight: Had a run in with a couple of UnMythics. Nothing new.

Ruby: Yeah... I find that strange, but we have more important things to worry about I guess...

Suddenly, Barak leaped out of the trees and bit Sapphire's hand. She yowled in pain, and fell back into Midnight. She paused for a moment before yelling at the small Dragon.

Sapphire: What in the name of... RUBY'S VAMPIRE LORD was that for?!

Barak: S-sorry! I didn't know it was you! I thought you were an UnMythic- Uh, the bad ones, not you...

Sapphire: Well, that really hurt! Next time, think before you attack, OK? Happier times for all of us then... OK, let's continue - I'll try to walk this off.

Sapphire started up towards the mountain, with the others close behind. Fang came out of the bushes, and put a spidery leg on Barak's claw.

Fang: You did the right thing, kid. It'll save everyone else the heartache later.

They followed the others, feeling very grim.
