Fireflies

Greetings, my friends. Today, you get the pleasure of seeing another picture from my imagination. Whether that's good or bad is up for you to decide!

First off, this isn't based on anything from my large story book of tales. I just let my mind wander and before I knew it, I had this nice looking picture!

... Also, can I just mention how cute spiders can get? Spiders can get really cute.
(We have Fang as evidence for that!)

B4 Ch1 Sea Salt -part2

After a long while, Sapphire and Silver reached the bottom of the sea. Sapphire looked around, but saw nothing like a underwater city.

Sapphire: ... I don't see this "Seatopia" anywhere.

Silver motioned for Sapphire to follow him behind a crevasse. She swam over, and then saw a big glittering city with stone streets and glowing buildings

Sapphire: ... How did I miss that?

Silver said nothing, but drifted silently towards a nearby building.

Silver: Here we are! Home sweet home, I guess...

Sapphire: Maybe this is because I've never been to a Sea city, but this place looks... odd, to say the least.

Just then, a yellow penguin swam out of the building, but abruptly stopped when she spotted Silver.

Calypso (yellow penguin): Silver! There you are! Looks like you win the hide and seek game - you managed to stay hidden for at least and hour and a half!

Silver: I was gone- I mean, hidden that long?

Calypso: Yeah, and-... Wait a minute, who's that?

The penguin nodded towards Sapphire, and Silver rubbed his paws nervously.

Silver: Um... Cal, this is Sapphire. She's, uh... new, around here.

Calypso: Where are you from, Sapphire?

Sapphire: Not here, I can tell you that. But speaking of which, have you by any chance seen a ship around here? Me and my friends were on it until it sank - I got separated from the group.

Calypso: A ship? Sorry, but the only one I've seen is the boat the raiders got this afternoon!

Sapphire sighed and shook her head impatiently.

Sapphire: Can you take me to these raiders? I want a word with them.

Calypso: Sorry, but they have... business, to attend too.

Sapphire: Figures... Well, looks like I've got another civilization to clean up.

Calypso: What was that?

Sapphire: Nothing.

Calypso: ... Anyway. See you later, Silver!

The penguin dashed off deeper into the watery city, leaving Sapphire and Silver behind.

Silver: So... W-what are you going to do now?

Sapphire: Find these "raiders" to have a talk with them.

Silver: You can't do that!

Sapphire: Why not?

Silver: Because, um... they... it... uh...

Sapphire: Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm going.

As Sapphire turned to leave, Silver caught her arm and pulled her back.

Silver: You don't know where they are!

Sapphire: Then would you be so kind as to tell me?

Silver: ... Why would I d-do that?

Sapphire: You could just leave me clueless as I wander around this strange mystic city, never finding my friends for years and years, alone and probably hungry for some decent food... But, y'know. I'll understand.

Sapphire pulled away and started to swim when Silver swam after her.

Silver: There are two groups of raiders. S.E.A (Silent Echo Agency), they have their headquarters closer to Seatopia, and S.A.L.T (Serene Animals of Lagoon Treasure), who live nearer to the surface.

Sapphire: Take me to this S.E.A group. I may as well start somewhere...

Silver: Are you serious about this plan?

Sapphire: As serious as I'm capable of getting!

Silver: F-fine... Follow me, then.

*****

After a while, the pale otter stopped in front of a dark cave, where inside Sapphire could see the dark shadow of a ship.

Silver: ... I'm not taking you any further, I'm sorry!

Sapphire: Very well... If I ever make it our alive, send my regards to my cousin.

Silver: You'll come back! It's not like there are any dangerous creatures in there!

Sapphire: By the fuss you're making, I could've been mistaken.

Silver: I just d-don't want to get involved with the raiders, is that t-too m-much to ask?

Sapphire: By the time I'm finished, probably.

Sapphire swam into the eerie shipwreck, and fish swam everywhere. She noticed a open door, leading into an even darker room. She cautiously pushed it open, and saw a large tunnel.

Sapphire: Well, let's find out where this leads...

Sapphire swam into the tunnel, and everything was pitch black.

After a little bit, she found herself in a light room, and facing an angry looking seal.

??? (orange seal): Hey, kid! How did you get here?

Sapphire: You're front door was open. I had the pleasure of entering.

???: Aw, Ink! You were suppose to make sure the door was closed!

Ink (pink squid): No, that was Aqua's job, not mine! I just help operations!

Aqua ( red shark): Don't drag me into this! Blame the catfish!

???: We don't have a catfish, fish-brains!

Aqua: Oh shut up, Coral! You're stinking up this place enough with your toys without your shark-breath boosting it!

Ink: That's rich coming from you!

Sapphire sighed and leaned against a wall, waiting for them to stop arguing. Plus, this was amusing!

Aqua: I, unlike my toothy brothers and sisters, have a sense of style and cleanness! If it weren't for that, I might be mistaken for a dolphin.

Coral (orange seal): Yeah, whatever. Now, what are you going to do about our intruder?

The Sea creatures turned to face Sapphire, who grinned back.

Ink: We could get Aqua to eat her!

Aqua: Over my mothers dead body!

Sapphire: Great! Where is it?

Ink: It was a figure of speech!

Sapphire: And mine was a figure of a poor joke! Now, are you guys going to give me back my cousin?

The Sea Creatures gave Sapphire a puzzled look, before answering.

Aqua: What are you talking about, shrimp? What cousin?

Sapphire: My cousin, of course. I'm pretty sure she's not related to you guys!

Coral: Uh...

Sapphire: ... Did you, or did you not attack a ship a few hours ago?

Ink: Ship? There was a ship right under our noses? Why didn't anyone tell us?

Aqua: It's because there's only four of us, jelly-skinned moron. We don't have informers like the S.A.L.T gang!

Coral: And whose fault is that?

Aqua: The public. Just because we're not true "salt-bloods", they refuse to give us what we need!

Sapphire: A-hem... If you can't help me get back my cousin, I'll just leave...

Sapphire turned to leave, but the seal blocked the doorway.

Coral: No, wait! We can!

Aqua: We can?

Coral: Shut up, Aqua... Yes, we can. If there really was a ship, S.A.L.T would have had everyone captured on board. But why are you looking for your cousin?

Sapphire: We were on that boat.

Dead silence~

Coral: ... You... were on a boat? Is that right?

Sapphire: Yeah. Me, my cousin, and friends were traveling back to ShadowWhisper island, back home.

Aqua: I've heard about that place! That's where the Vampires live, right?

Sapphire: Some of us, yeah. We originally left another island of Vampires, but... yes.

Aqua: Wait, so... is your cousin, a Vampire?

Sapphire: Yes. Yes she is.

The shark shark grabbed hold of the seals's arm and motioned the seal to join them, and they started whispering to each other.

B4 Ch1 Sea Salt -part1

Sapphire was frustrated. She had no idea where she was, and the ship that she was traveling on disappeared without a trace - crew, friends, everything.

She was currently swimming through the salty waters of the deep sea, trying to find out what had happened. As she went deeper, she noticed something moving among the coral, scavenging for something.

Sapphire: Hey!

The figure looked up, startled. When it saw Sapphire it hastily swam off, but Sapphire gave chase.

Sapphire: Get back here! I have some questions for you!

But the creature continued to speed on at a surprisingly fast speed. But eventually, Sapphire cornered the strange fish into a rocky cliff.

Sapphire: Finally! Can you-... wait a second, you're not a shark!

??? (pale otter): N-no...

Sapphire: Well, if you're not a shark, a dolphin, or an extremely large fish, what are you?

???: What am I? Shouldn't you know, being one yourself?

Sapphire: What?

???: Oh, did Kai set you up to do this? I s-should've known... Please don't beat m-me up, I've hard a really rough day as it i-is!

Sapphire: Kai? What on earth are you going on about? I just asked what kind of creature you were!

???: N-nice act, but no. If I say Sea creature, you'll h-hit me and tell me I'm nothing but a cowering c-c-catfish!

Sapphire stared open wide at the shaking creature before her, not sure how to react to this.

Sapphire: Sea creature? You're a Sea creature?

???: Y-yes! Oh, I feel a slap coming...

Sapphire practically burst with excitement. She grabbed hold of the stuttering otter's paws and spun around and around and around, until they were both quite dizzy.

Sapphire: Yes! I've found my kind! Maybe this day isn't turning out to be so bad after all?

???: Say what?

Sapphire: Ever since Barak had turned me into a Sea Creature, I've been dying to meet others like me!

???: S-so... y-you're not going to slap me?

Sapphire: I have no reason to! I'm Sapphire! What's your name?

Silver (pale otter): My... my name? Well... call me Silver!

Sapphire: Pleased to meet you, Silver! Now, have you seen a ship anywhere? I was on it when it mysteriously sank!

Silver's face paled (which must've been hard, considering his colour) when he heard those words.

Silver: A-a-a ship? You... you were on a-a ship?

Sapphire: Uh, yeah. I just said that.

Silver: U-um... N-no! No, I haven't s-seen a ship!

Sapphire: ... Tell me the truth, Silver.

Silver: T-t-the truth?

Sapphire: Yeah. It's like the opposite of lying... And who knows? I might actually have a reason to hit you now!

Silver gulped and slowly nodded his head.

Silver: Y-yeah... There was a-a raid a few hours ago... It must've b-been your ship that they took!

Sapphire: Raid?

Silver: Yes. Every time when a s-ship goes past carrying goods we n-need, we-... they, attack it, sink the ship, and c-capture everyone b-board...

Sapphire: WHAT?!

Silver winced, and Sapphire started to panic.

Sapphire: But they can't breath underwater... How do they expect them to survive?

Silver: It's the charms we give t-them...

Sapphire: Charms?

Silver: Yeah, l-like the one y-you're wearing!

Sapphire looked at the seashell that she was wearing around her neck.

Sapphire: Ok... What do they do?

Silver: For non-Sea Creatures, it k-keeps them from drowning, b-but also makes them unable to return to the surface without d-dying! For us, it brings luck and protects us from certain dangers!

Sapphire: Interesting... So, you have, like... some kind of underwater city?

Silver: Seatopia? Y-yeah, that's where I live.

Sapphire: Could you take me there?

Silver: I guess... I have to get back eventually - m-mother gets worried if I stay away for the house t-t-too long.

Sapphire: Cool. Lead the way!

Silver: ... You're s-strange.

Sapphire: So I'm told.

The white otter swam deeper into the ocean, and Sapphire followed close behind.

*****

... Basically it takes a while to get to the bottom of the ocean. Nothing else interesting happens until they reach Seatopia.

And you've probably noticed my poor attempt at creating an otter plushie... Well, until I get the real deal, it'll have to do.

Oh, and because Silver's going to be a friend on the adventure, he gets a character sheet!

Mega Meggie

So... If there was any other world of mine that I could share with the public, it would be "Tales from Salamurr". It's a bit hard to explain, but not to worry - you'll just have to be introduced to one of the characters in that weird land!

Meet Meggie, a Metaller outlaw, but a genius in weapons - she provides the main team with information that no one else knows - it's just a shame everyone else thinks she's mad, or else she could probably have run the best Weapon shop in the land - and you need weapons to defeat the Shadows!

... Oh? You want to know what Shadow's are? Well... uh... to put it simply, there's a mystic well in a dangerous forest, and whenever someone expresses a strong feeling (example, anger, fear, love) a shadow like version of that emotion will form and explore the world.

... I don't want to spoil too much, in case I do end up deciding to take this world further then my drawing books, but yeah... It gets hectic, to say the least.

B4 Prologue Lost Sea

It was a warm sort of day, on the deck of the Lucky SaltyCaramel. Sparkling blue ocean as far as the eye could see, and the crew in a jolly mood. Captain Lucas SilverBone was whistling a merry tune by the wheel, steering on the course back to ShadowWhisper island to sell his goods.

But while everyone seemed to be happy, there was one who was a little depressed. Her name was Sapphire. She was a blue kangaroo, and as she gazed upon the clear blue sea, wishing she was out there swimming with dolphins and racing against sharks, she had strict orders to stay near (or on) the ship that she was aboard - and she wasn't exactly happy about that.

"Hey, cousin. Why the long face?", a voice behind her asked. Sapphire turned around to face a red kangaroo, hair over one eye and a honest smile.
Sapphire sighed again and said, "Well... we go to all the trouble of staying on a crazy Island for less than two weeks, and I'm bored, Ruby. That's 'why the long face!' "
Ruby patted Sapphire's back before walking towards the sailor's cabins to read. Sapphire was glad Ruby didn't bother comforting her - it wouldn't have worked anyway.

Sapphire looked down into the sea again, but this time she noticed something odd. Black shadows were swimming around the ship, which concerned her. She leaned over to get a closer look, but they disappeared. I must be dreaming, she thought.

CRASH~

The ship sway a little, and Sapphire tried to steady herself. The captain bellowed out a startled cry, and called up to the crows nest.
"Raven, didja' see what that was jus' now?" he yelled to the lookout boy. "No I didn't, captain!" a reply drifted back down. The captain cursed under his breath and was about to give an order, when...

CRASH~

The boat rocked violently again, but this time Sapphire felt like the ship was sinking. She jumped into the sea and saw two large holes on the bottom of the boat, leaking in water quite quickly. She resurfaced swiftly, and climbed back into the boat, and yelled out with all her might.
"The ship's sinking! I repeat, THE SHIP'S SINKING!"

CRASH~

Sapphire stumbled backwards and fell into the ocean. She was about to swim back up, when something tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around, only to face a friendly looking penguin. He smiled and said, "Hello, earthling! So nice of you to drop in..."

WHAM

******

... What's that buzzing sound? It's driving me nuts... Sapphire slowly opened her eyes and looked around, not sure where she was. She groaned and stood up, smelling the salty air of the sea, and feeling a cool breeze. Wait, why am I here?... She was alone, but something in her mind was trying to tell her to hurry up with something...

She lifted up her hand to scratch her head, but stopped when she saw a white seashell necklace in the palm of her fist. It seemed to whisper to her as she hesitatingly put it around here neck. Then it suddenly hit her that she had friends to find!
Sapphire quickly jumped into the sea and into the deep blue depths, in hopes of finding out if their ship had sunk. She didn't know it at the time, but things were going to get interesting...

*____----____*

Well... the start of a whole new adventure awaits us! This "adventure" is mostly going to be based on Sapphire as she explores the Deep Blue in search of her cousin (and friends, I guess), and to also solve some watery mysteries about the Deep Sea Creatures.

I hope you manged to put up with my lame excuse for "real writing", but if I'm to ever become a writer, I must explore and make mistakes. Story-writing cannot be taught - it takes years of practice, patience, and coffee (But I substitute that with Pineapple juice!)

B3 Ending

About a week later, Ruby, Sapphire, and Barak were ready to set sail back to sea with Cole and Misae.

Lucas: Are you kids ready?

Ruby: Yeah. We're all set!

Lucas: Good! Be prepared to set sail soon!

A few dozen people were on the shore, two of them being the previous kings, waving their children off on their adventure.

Charon: Cole, is there any possible way that I can change your mind to not go?

Cole: I'm afraid not.

Charon: Fine... then make sure you at least try to write to us! I've already thought one son was dead, and I don't need a repeat of that!

Cole: I'll try, father!

Vulcan: Now, Misae! Try to keep out of trouble on your journey!

Misae: Dad, don't ruin this moment for me.

Vulcan: Sorry, my dove!

A horn sounded and the ship started to drift back into the sea and away from the island. Everyone waved goodbye, not taking their eyes off the boat until it was just a speck in the distance.

*****

It had been two days since they left the Grey Islands, and Cole and Misae had gotten used to the rocking ship. Sapphire was ordered by Ruby to check the storage room for any rats.

While Sapphire was searching for any unwanted pests, she heard a tapping sound nearby. She approached cautiously, ready to strike, but then she relaxed.

Sapphire: Well well well... Look what we have here!

Midnight: Don't, Sapphire-

Sapphire: Hey, Ruby! Can you come here for a second? I've got something to show you!

Ruby opened the storage room door, and saw Midnight, slightly shivering, but grinning.

Ruby: MIDNIGHT! What-... How did you get here?

Midnight: I sneaked on board at the crack of dawn, long before any of you guys were up.

Ruby: But you're suppose to be ruling alongside Aurora! She can't get the city back in order on her own!

Midnight: She's just going to have to try.

Ruby: Well... it's not like we can turn around and head back, now...

Midnight: Good. That's how long I wanted to stay hidden for - until we couldn't turn back!

Ruby: Ok, ok... you win! You can keep your rotten life and cold bed! It was your call!

Midnight: I know!

And so, Midnight went with them on their journey back to ShadowWhisper island. At first Ruby was mad at him for going with them, but over time she accepted that the royal life didn't suit him.

... You think this is the end of their adventure? Maybe. But a brand new one is about to unfold! Very soon...

******

... What? I only managed to get to seven chapters before completing the quest? Oh well. Maybe next one will be longer! Because... well... you'll find out on Thursday.

And sorry for the short post - I have good reasons, but at the moment can't name any of them. (No, I'm not kidding - I can't name them for fear of spoilers!)

And say goodbye to Sunshine. It'll be awhile before we see her again...

And I updated Characters, and added Side Characters, and Maps.

(Also, you have no idea how hard it is to redraw AJ Plushies!)

Valentines Special

So... Valentines day, huh? Honestly, I wasn't quite sure what to draw for this day, seeing I know next to nothing about it! But, I did something I've been wanting to do for a long time...

Dress up three of the main characters in ball gowns!

And a little something to say thanks for all the love (no matter how small) you've shown for the things that I do here in Undercover Vamparoo!

If you managed to read through my poetry, and thought it was ok, you deserve a cookie for being so nice!

Night-time on the beach

Hello guys! AppleStorm here with another picture for (mostly mine, but) your enjoyment!

I decided to try a different way of painting... The only tool I used was the "Air Brush" mode, but it was fun!

... Ok, so it looks terrible. So what? Tomorrow I'll have 3-4 pictures for you, so you'll have that to look forward to!

... Still not that excited? Ok... What if I told you Midnight will look his best, now that he's officially 'royalty'?

*Insert evil laughter here*

B3 Ch7 The two kings - part3

The whole town paraded through the entire city, cheering for Midnight and Sunshine as their new rulers. Ruby and Sapphire joined the celebrating, until they found Midnight looking glum.

Ruby: Midnight! There you are!

Sapphire: So... how does it feel to rule an entire island, your majesty?

Midnight: Can it, Sapphire!

Sapphire: A little touchy, your highness?

Midnight: This is terrible! I'm king! KING! Do you know what that means?

Sapphire: That you and Sunshine- I mean, Aurora, probably wont be able to come with us back home?

Midnight: What? Of course I'll go back to ShadowWhisper island!

Just then, Sunshine appeared from the big crowd.

Sunshine: We can't. We have an island to straighten out! And whether you like it or not, you're the elder son to Charon, so you have to rule!

Midnight: But that's boring!

Sapphire: Boring? Would you like to chop off some heads for your amusement?

Midnight: Of course not! Who do you take me for?

Sapphire: It was a joke...

Barak landed among the friends, looking slightly guilty.

Midnight: Barak! Please say there's a way I can back out of this royalty nonsense! I'm not fit for this life!

Barak: Sorry, but until Cole's old enough to take over, you're the king!

Midnight gave a frustrated sigh and slumped against a wall, depressed.

Ruby: It can't be all bad! After all, you control everything!

Midnight said nothing. Instead, he gave them all a bored look, so Ruby and Sapphire decided to leave. Barak followed close behind, tail drooping.

But on the way, they ran into Cole and Misae.

Cole: Oh, there you two are! Um... well, me and the good princess here have been wondering when you'd be leaving for your home island?

Ruby: Probably in a week, when the captain of the ship is ready. Why?

Misae: We want to go with you.

Ruby: And what do your fathers think of this idea?

Cole: They don't actually know, to be honest...

Sapphire: Who cares what they do and don't know! I think it'd be a great chance for you to get off this island and have a real adventure!

Ruby: AHEM...

Sapphire: ... Geographic expedition?

Ruby: All the same, I think your parents should know.

Sapphire: Why?

Ruby: They just happen to be royalty, dear cousin. And when royalty decide to go on an adventure without telling anyone, everyone tends to panic a bit. Barak? Can you let our captain know we'll be ready to set sail as soon as he is?

Barak: Can't we stay here, Ruby?

Ruby: I'm afraid not. Captain SilverBone and his crew are the only ones that can take us back to ShadowWhisper island, and they'll be leaving shortly. It could be months before they come back here!

The green Dragon sighed and took off towards the beach.

*****

Later that night, at the Mist Tavern...

Charon: Now that we are dethroned, life is going to be a bit boring...

Charon and Vulcan (now forced to get along), were spending some time with their long lost relations.

Vulcan: Even with my sister and your son in charge, I agree.

Sunshine: Well, unless you two stop fighting, it'll stay that way.

Midnight: I'd happily let Cole be the king now!

Sunshine: No, Orpheus-

Midnight: Midnight!

Sunshine: It's about time you stop using your nickname... Anyway. Orpheus, Cole is too young to rule on his own!

Midnight: He wont be on his own! He has his- I mean, our dad, and-

Sunshine: That's not exactly comforting.

Midnight: I have a mother, right?

Charon: Yes, but shes busy with other things most of the time, and never has time to rule.

Midnight: Oh, forget it. I'll die of boredom before Cole reaches of age!

Midnight slid off his chair and stormed out of the room. His father looked at him as he went, concerned.

Charon: I've always wanted to see my eldest son again, but I didn't expect him to be... so...

Vulcan: Rebellious?

Charon: Something like that, yes. Why is he so upset about being king? He should be thrilled! A comfortable life, no danger, all the riches he could want...

Sunshine: Well... I haven't known him for as long as Ruby, but I think that's exactly what he doesn't want. As far as I can tell, he lives life on the edge, full of excitement and danger, stealing anything he wants... He doesn't want the easy way of life.

Charon: My son, a thief? Impossible! Why would he learn such a thing as thievery? We have our family honor to uphold!

Sunshine: Me and Orpheus didn't remember our royal life. We had no pressure of "upholding" anything!

Vulcan: Sea amnesia... I've heard of it, but didn't think it was possible until now.

Sunshine: Maybe you should leave him alone for a while... Let the truth sink in a little before forcing some royal duties on him.

Charon: I'll take that advice to heart.

The former black king left the room as well.

B3 Ch7 The two kings - part2

Vulcan slowly nodded his head before answering their question.

Vulcan: To tell you straight, uh... You're too young to understand.

Misae stamped her foot on the ground in anger, making him flinch.

Misae: Oh, rubbish! We can't remember, can we father?

Vulcan: Um... N-no, not really.

Charon: Oh good, then it's not just me.

Barak: But if you can't remember, then why are you still fighting?

Vulcan: It's what our fathers did! And our grandfathers, and great grandfathers...

Charon: And great great grandfathers, and great great great grandfathers and so on...

Cole: Well, it's time to stop!

Vulcan: No! We will fight until the battle is won!

Barak: The battle has already been lost. Let people go home already!

Crowd: Yes, PLEASE!

Charon: Sorry, but even if you are a Dragon, there's no turning back in war!

Barak: ... Actually, I may not have the power... but your ancient laws do.

Every looked at Barak in a puzzled way, so he continued.

Barak: According to your old Vampish law, if two kings have a personal "disagreement", they cannot bring anyone into it (like going to war), and have to settle it peacefully.

Charon: Peacefully? Where's the fun in that?

Barak: If you want to, you can do a hand-to-hand fight instead!

Zelda: Yes, let's get this over with already! It's 1000 years overdue!

The people of the city murmured in agreement, and Cole and Misae stepped forward. They walked up to each other, giving a secret smile.

Vulcan: Misae! Get away from that boy! He's the son of my worst enemy!

Charon: Step back, Cole! She's the daughter of my worst enemy!

Misae and Cole looked at each other and nodded, before declaring loudly.

Cole and Misae: No.

Charon: What do you mean, no?

Barak: It's a two letter word, starts with fourteenth and ends on the fifteenth letter of the alphabet.

Misae: We refuse to do what you say.

Cole: We won't take any more of this stupid war! So, in other words...

Cole and Misae: We're friends.

The two kings looked at their children in shock, and it took them a while to grasp what they just declared.

But the city cheered and shouted for the Black prince and the White Princess like fury. This was the first sign of friendship between the two castles since Orpheus and Aurora's disappearance, and they were thrilled!

Barak: Hey, they aren't king and queen yet!

Zelda: What's stopping us from making them?

Charon and Vulcan: They're too young!

Barak: If anything, maybe Charon's elder son and Vulcan's sister are more suitable!

Zelda: You're right! They can take your places until Misae and Cole are older!

Crowd: LONG LIVE KING ORPHEUS AND QUEEN AURORA!!!

Barak shrugged and flew back up to where Fang was, hoping he'd done his job.

Fang: Well... good enough. Now Midnight and Sunshine are king and queen, we can leave.

Barak: Will Midnight and Sunshine come with us?

Fang gave a chuckle before facing Barak with all his spidery eyes and grinned.

Fang: No.

Barak: Why?

Fang: Now that they rule an entire island, they're going to be a bit... busy, to say the least.

Barak: We have to stop them! They have to come with us! It won't be right!

Fang: No, we leave them. We'll come back for them later!

Barak: But when?

Fang: Until the younger heirs are old enough to take over from their brother and aunt. Which may take some time...

Floating Sapphire

Hello~ I've been kinda lazy this week, but I still managed to get a kinda cool picture done.

B3 Ch7 The two kings - part1

A few days after Midnight and Sunshine's arrests, the town's people gathered in the central square to witness the event that was about to take place between the two rival kings.

And a little red spider with a green dragon also watched from high on the rooftops...

Fang: Good news, the kings have arranged the swap of their kin. Bad news, we don't know how they'll take it when they realize they're related to their prisoners...

Barak: Are you sure this will work? I get nervous talking to big crowds of people...

Fang: Yes, it will. So please don't end up like me and become useless.

Barak: You're not useless!

Fang: Tell that to Ruby when she bothers to listen.

Barak: Why can't you do it, Fang?

Fang: I'm a spider, you fruit.

Barak: Dragon, actually-

Fang: Just be silent for a moment and see what happens, hm? Let's see whether we need a plan B or not...

Barak sighed and rested his head on his paws, and waited for things to get exciting.

******

When the Black king arrived with Sunshine (with the company of some black knights), everyone impatiently waited for Vulcan to arrive with his prisoner.

Cole: They should be here any minute...

Sure enough, a little later, the White king appeared with Midnight (and some white knights), when Charon yelled out in surprised.

Charon: Hang on a minute... THAT'S MY SON!

Vulcan noticed Charon's prisoner, and shouted back at him.

Vulcan: AND THAT'S MY SISTER!

Sunshine: How can you tell?

Vulcan: You still have the key necklace I gave you! A present from a Dragon for safe keeping.

Charon: And that boy almost looks like Cole! You've been gone for years! I thought Vulcan had kidnapped you to train you to fight against me!

Vulcan: And I thought you took my daughter and raise her to hate me!

Charon: Well, it looks like I was right... KNIGHTS, TO ARMS!!!

Vulcan: MEN, ATTACK!!!

Fang: Barak, get in there and stop this nonsense once and for all!

The green Dragon nodded and took off into the clouds. He then sped down at top speeds towards the ground and caused a mini earthquake when he landed. He then roared for attention, and everyone stepped back, startled

Barak: STOP!!!

Silence.

Barak: ... Thank you. Now, I know what the trouble is, so can you all stop this silly war and let everyone get on with their lives?

Vulcan: NEVER!!! I won't stop until that ancestor of a dog-

Charon: Hey!

Vulcan: Sorry, but it had to be said, - gives me what was rightfully ours!

Charon: Not in twenty billion years, you white dishcloth!

Barak: BE QUIET!!!

Barak shot a light beam into the sky, making everyone step back another pace or so.

Midnight: Alright, Barak. No need to blow up the entire town! We're listening!

Misae: You know this Dragon?

Midnight: You forget that I'm not from here, sweetheart!

Charon: But if he didn't take you... then where did you go?

Midnight: No idea, but we both ended up on ShadowWhisper island!

Charon & Vulcan: ShadowWhisper island?

Barak: Yes! He just told you that.

Midnight: But the point is... What in Ruby's Vampire Lord's name is the point of this war between you two?!

Sunshine: We know it all started with the first kings. But why did they start fighting in the first place?

Charon: Ah, well... it's like... uh...

The two kings remained silent.

B3 Ch6 Aunt Sunshine - part3

Misae was in the kitchen, ordering cooks about, when King Vulcan marched in.

Cook: What a pleasant surprise! You honor us with your presence, My lord!

Vulcan: Misae, it's time for our daily lessons!

Misae: Oh, do I have to father?

Vulcan: Yes, my dove. It's important for your ruling education! Now, come along. We can have cakes while we have our lesson.

Misae: Fine.

The king and his daughter left the hot kitchen (and away from the delicious smells), and headed towards the command room.

When they got there, Misae slumped into a chair and prepared for a dull hour of battle tactics and war strategies.

Vulcan: Now, the enemy has made its way to location b1, and are planning to stir up a revolution against us. What should we do?

Misae: Get a cup of tea?

Vulcan: Uh... (how do I say no?...)

Suddenly, a messenger ran in, waving a letter above his head, practically bursting with excitement.

Messenger (green eagle): A letter for the High White King!

Misae: Oo, a break in the pattern! How exciting! We usually get mail on Wednesdays.

Vulcan: ... Read it aloud, if you please.

Messenger: With pleasure, sir!

The eagle ripped open the letter, while Misae giggled quietly.

Misae: He's obviously new - no one gets that excited about reading organized scribbles on thin slices of wood to my father!

Messenger:  "King Vulcan. I have your daughter, so surrender and remove your troops from the forests and I may let her live. King Charon the third of the Black kingdom".

Vulcan turned to look at his daughter and raised an eyebrow.

Vulcan: Misae, are you in the Black Castles dungeons?

Misae: None of your business.

Vulcan: I'll take that as a no... What does Charon hope to accomplish; trying to make me believe that my daughter is in his dungeons?

Misae: I dunno, why don't you go and ask him?

Vulcan sighed and started pacing around the room.

Vulcan: He probably has someone else in his jail disguised as my daughter... meaning there's some commoner going to die in a few days if I don't release my prisoner!

Misae: So? Just do a swap if you think it's that important. In fact, I DEMAND you arrange this swap with king Charon!

Vulcan: B-but, Misae! That's the prince in my dungeons-

Misae: I don't care! You should have more honor than that!

Vulcan: Since when did I teach you honor?

Misae: You didn't. I had to learn it myself! You useless man.

Vulcan: V-very well... Messenger boy, give word to my personal scribe to write a letter back to Charon.

Messenger: About arranging a swap of prisoners, my lord?

Vulcan: Of course - if my daughter says it must happen, it will!

The messenger hurried off, while Vulcan continued pacing, trying to figure out his enemy's plans Misae silently left, hoping that he wouldn't call her back.

The White princess discreetly made her to towards the dungeons, where she found Midnight toying with the lock of his cell. She coughed to get his attention, but he continued to play with the keyhole.

Midnight: Back so soon?

Misae: Yes, but to give you news. One of your friends seems to have been captured by the black king, and is currently in their dungeons.

Midnight: Swell...

Misae: And I've ordered my father to arrange a swap. You for Charon's prisoner!

Midnight: Well, isn't that nice?

Misae: Enough with the sardonic tone, prince Orpheus. Act your age!

Midnight: I am! This is what teenagers do best!

Misae sighed shook her head.

Misae: Well, you won't get poisoned anytime soon, which is good. I don't think Charon would appreciate it if we did that to his son and heir to the throne.

Midnight: Actually, Charon doesn't even know I'm here... I've been keeping my existence a secret from him since I found out I was his son.

Misae: That's dumb! As royalty, you can have anything you want!

Midnight: Except freedom.

Misae: What do you mean?

Midnight: Are you allowed to explore the streets of this fair town? On your own?

Misae: Well, no... but that's for my own safety.

Midnight: And that's what I don't want... As they say, there's more to life than money, your highness.

Misae: Who are "They"?

Midnight: I don't have a clue.

Misae turned to leave, but Midnight called after.

Midnight: Also, could you send word to my friends? They need to be aware that I'm perfectly fine.

Misae: I'll send a messenger-

Midnight: No! You have to give it to them yourself, face to face. Alone.

Misae: I don't have to follow your orders, even if you are a famous prince!

Midnight: Then you're a coward. But, I understand... not everybody can be as brave as Dragon.

Misae glared at him before running out and up the stairs. Midnight grinned as the white princess left, and started to play with the lock once again.

Midnight: Well, it doesn't matter anyway. And I doubt Ruby would stop worrying about me... Knowing her, she'll probably stay up all night pacing...
